Explanation on the protection of personal data

The NGO Reality Mission in Estonia, (hereinafter referred to as the NGO RME) is committed to protecting the rights of individuals and ensuring the security of personal data in accordance with EU data protection requirements as required by the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). In this document, we explain how NPO RME collects, uses and stores personal information.

Description of processing

Areas used:

– Voluntary participation (helping with the performance of NPO RME)

Categories of personal data

We process the following personal data:

– name
– address
– e-mail
– phone number
– payment data
– purchase and sales history

Principles of processing personal data

We process personal data on the basis of the following principles:

– where processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or for the implementation of measures prior to the conclusion of a contract at the request of the data subject.

– where the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a legal obligation to which the controller is subject, for example in connection with the Accounting Act.

– if the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of a task in the public interest of the NGO RME, such as sending newsletters, checking credit or providing other effective cooperation and services.

Reality Mission in Estonia NPO is the controller of personal data and forwards the personal data necessary for making payments to the authorized processor Maksekeskus AS.

Retention

We retain personal data for as long as it is necessary for the activities mentioned below:

– if we have an active customer relationship with the data subject, we will retain personal data until the end of the customer relationship, in accordance with the Accounting Act, unless there is a need for long-term storage.

– if the data subject has given consent to the participation of MTÜ RME or volunteering, we will retain the personal data until the data subject withdraws the consent.

Rights of the data subject

The data subject has the right whenever:

– receive information about the processing of
your personal data– to request the correction of inaccuracies and errors in your personal data and the supplementation of
your personal data – to object to the processing of your personal data for a personal reason

– receive your personal data
in electronic form – to request restriction of the processing of your personal data

Every data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority or with the supervisory authority of the Member State of the European Union where the data subject has his or her place of residence or place of work, if the data subject considers that his or her personal data have not been processed in accordance with data protection legislation.

The transfer of personal data outside the European Union or the European Economic Area is based on the applicable legislation on the processing of personal data and is carried out in accordance with these legal acts.

Our website uses cookies for analysis and advertising. Cookies are small text files that must be stored in the user’s terminal. With the help of analytical data, we can monitor and supplement the technical functions of our site. We can also use statistics to contribute to the development of the content of the site so that it meets the interests of our users.
